BIO: Although mellow in the locker room, Dan
doesn’t mind using the body during gametime. Oftentimes Dan will be partnered
with a more offensive-minded defensiveman and he’ll hold down the blueline
by himself. Dan returned to the lineup in 2001 following a motorcycle mishap,
and his playing was as solid as ever; he was a force in the defensive zone
during the back-to-back Championships the Pirates captured in 2001-2002.
