For two periods we played the blackhawks so tenaciously it was like Game
7 of the Stanley Cup ... then came a 5:00 minute stretch in the 3rd when
things seem to fall apart.
Here's the recap: The Blackhawks scored first, but we rallied right back
after wildman rushed the net on a Glenn Farkas rebound. The 1st period ended
in a 1-1 tie.
In the 2nd, the only score came after a sequence of passes from side-to-side
in front of our goal line ending in a slam dunk by one of the Blackhawks'
forwards.
Trailing by one goal at the start of the 3rd, things took a turn for the
worse as the 'Hawks capitalized on every opportunity and added 4 more scores.
Except for that lapse, it was a strong game for us especially against
such a powerhouse team.
