According to Harris, this was the worst defeat ever
suffered by the Pirates in a playoff series — “'nuff said,”
as Mike Farrell would say. That is, of course, if Mike Farrell had bothered
to show for this Semifinals game ... or sent an email saying he couldn't
make it.
Of course, that is not the reason we lost. Nor is the fact that we hadn't
played in a couple weeks (the Ducks had a Quarterfinals playoff game two
days earlier). No, the reason we lost, according to Wildman: “Russ,
didn't play well, I think he was saving himself for the 10 o'clock game.”
