We came out on the attack epitomizied by Ralz's four shots on his
first shift and we kept up the pressure for most of the game. Still,
we went in the first break gridlocked at 0-0.
Ironically, the Rage got on the board first at the beginning of the 2nd,
with a long, screen shot from center that narrowly missed defenseman Scott
LeMatty and just deflected off my glove. Ralz answered back, however, with
some nice moves across center that resulted in his first tally of the season.
The scoring continued in the 2nd, when Allen got a shot off during a goal-line
scramble to give us the 2-1 lead. Later, however, the Rage capitalized on
breakaway to tie it up once again. We went in the 2nd break even again at
2-2.
The 3rd period was a frenzy of penalties and close calls (including Scott
L. being called for stick holding with 3:00 minutes left). We survived the
power play and kissed our sister.
