Coming off a 3-game Sunday/Wednesday losing streak (where we were outscored
by opponents 18-2), last night's game was crucial to getting us back on
track. After a Saturday practice, we looked pretty sharp with opening goals
by Wildman (assist by Ralz) and an unassisted score by Russ. The 1st period
ended 2-0 thanks to superb "D" by Dan and Roger.
At the start of the second, The Mud Dogs converted their fourth breakaway
(a 3-on-0!) for their only tally, but that goal made it 2-1. Russ answered
back with his second of the night (assist by returning Pirate Jimmy Ferraro,
subbing for Dave Matthews) to give us back our two goal lead.
We added two more goals in the 3rd period (the first by Jimmy w/ the assist
to Wildman) and the final score of the night by Ralz, with the assist going
to Jimmy).
