The first of two back-to-back games for us had Scooby returning to his old
scoring self. His first score of the night gave us a 1-0 lead in the 1st
period which we carried into the break.
The Blizzard tied it up, but Jimmy (who has points in all 3 of his Pirate
appearances so far this season) regained our lead during a scrum in the
crease.
The 2-1 score started the 3rd, but Scooby and Scott Lematty teamed-up with
a beautiful give-and-go which allowed Scooby to score his second of the
evening. Ralz gave us a 3-goal lead when he rifled a wrist shot from the
face-off circle. The Blizzard closed the gap to two goals when their forward
played a puck out of mid-air for a goal, but they were unable to get another
even with the extra attacker in the closing minute.
