Another Sunday here and another game to play. Seems to be a theme. This time though it would not be a push over like some of the others we have played this season. We were facing a upgraded St. Pats team eager to win a Championship. We know the smell of victory. It can smells like crap sometimes after a hard-fought game, but a win is a win.
Here is how it went down in this one. We had Russ, Tony, Bob (that's me — Brooks — for all the people that are on a last name basis with me), Glenn Farkas, Dan DiPierro, and the Energizer Bunny™ Wildman up-front; On defense we had the trio of Gucci-Baio-Murf. The St. Pats would net the first goal of the game early in the 1st period and that would be it for them. We tightened it up defensively and didn't give them many chances the rest of the game. Russ would score the first of his two goals to make it 1-1. His second of the game would give the Pirates their first lead of the night, 2-1, and then an insurance goal by Brooks finished-up the evening's festivities. Jon Hoenge, filling-in for a sick Harris, did a fantastic job in net and picked-up the win. Everyone was solid in this one. A great way to keep the winning ways going.
