WEDNESAYS #2 vs. JAGUARS:

'TWAS THE LAST GAME BEFORE XMAS
'Twas the last game before Christmas and all through the rink,
the Pirates were arriving to play the Jaguars I think.
The equipment was thrown on the locker room floor,
it might've been Kevin's who played right before.

The rink was so bad it's like skating on mayo,
then one minute in it was “hooking on Baio.”
But no sooner then Joe had skated from the ice,
Scott Miller scored shorthanded — which was kinda nice!

But the Jags stormed back with two unanswered goals,
that put a damper on the night and us in the hole.
And that's how the 1st ended there wasn't much more,
except that 67 kept falling on the floor.

So during the break as we trailed two-to-one,
we said “it's a game” but knew winning was more fun.
So we strategized hard 'coz we'd been playing shitty,
probably since Gooch stayed all-day in Atlantic City.

“On Scooby, on Mike, on Miller brothers,
on Wildman, on Brooks, on Joe and the others!”
And then it did happen the first of our goals,
When Craig stormed down ice and shot five-hole.

The game was now tied, then along came Evan,
next thing Kurasz yelled “Goal ... Ninety-Seven.”
Then Ev scored again with an assist going to Brian,
which I need to mention or he might just start crying.

But before I forget, I should have said,
the defense was great: Gucci, Joe, Mike and Ed.
But losing four-to-two the Jags still wouldn't beg,
So we added another, this time from Craig.

Then it was time for the handshake tradition,
Though some of the Jags could not stop their bitchin'.
But Mike greeted each at the end of the night,
“Merry Christmas to all, let's grab a Coors Light.”
