Another Wednesday, another game. This week, however, the Pirates — fresh off a tough loss vs. the Phantoms — would be looking to right the ship against long-time foe, the Jaguars. We took to the rink with this line-up: #67, Brooks, Craig, Wildman, and the Miller Bros. up front; manning the blueline were Mike, Gucci, LeMatty, and (the once again, always-subbing) Joe Baio.
There is no denying that we were, to say the least, embarrassed last week so we flexed some muscle early by scoring a trio of goals in the 1st period. We got alot of help from Harris and the defensive corps. as they kept the Jags off the board in a fury of early attempts. Our goals were scored by three different Pirates: Gucci (assist Evan), a powerplay goal by Brooks (assist Baio), and #67 (assist Brooks).
The final period was more physical, but we were up to the challenge as we netted three more while keeping the Jags off the scoresheet: Mike (assist Evan), Gucci (assist Evan), and another powerplay goal this time by Mike (assist Brooks). Some other notable highlights: The Pirate special teams were two-for-four on the powerplay; the Pirate blueliners scored four of our six goals; and Evan had a hattrick of assists. Oh, and once again Harris stood on his head to earn the shutout win. Now that we are back on track, we'll look to build on that solid win for next week.

WHEREABOUTS OF RUSS & KEVIN REVEALED
AOL just featured the story that a Jets fan is filing a lawsuit against the Patriots' coach. Hmmm, does this explain why Russ was absent from our Wednesday game and why Kevin was “unavailable” to sub?
