Not that it is a big deal or anything, but at least one of the Coastal Pirates had a little extra motivation for the game against the Jags. Why? Because he took the Summer season off from the Jags to play with Mike Farrell on the Sunday Pirates. But wait, you say: Didn't mike take the Sunday Season off to play on Wednesday? Yup, that's the deal ...
Anyway, the last time these two teams faced-off the Pirates pretty much had their way with the Jags. This time? Not so much. In fact, it was only 1-0 late in the game. The difference? Well the Jags were quick to point out that they improved without #67 on the roster, while the Pirates ... well, let's face it, they didn't exactly improve.
But a win is a win and the Pirates picked-up two late goals to put the game away, including the first goal by “the new guy.” And speaking of new guys: Looks like Nicholson is going to be called before the S.O.C. for an etiquette lesson on the policy regarding missing games.
