Game starts, Cannibals score. In the end that was the difference.
The remainder of the 1st period the Pirates played about as bad as Eli and the Giants, but not quite as bad as Sanchez and the Jets. The lackluster effort put the Pirates down three at the break.
Simplifying the approach to nearest man passes and a solid dump and chase resulted in two hard-earned goals in the first 15:00-minutes of the final period. A Bissey slapshot off a Nicolosi feed and Baio on a rebound of a Gucci pointshot to be precise.
The final 5:00-minutes saw a number of excellent missed opportunities for the Pirates to tie the score. Nice keeping and a number of blocked shots were the primary reason.
In the end, it was the beginning that was our end.
