The first of a back-to-back set of games with the Cannibals/Big Slick
clubs. The Sunday club has Rockhill while the Monday club has Toscano,
otherwise they look alot alike. Rockhill showed all of his sides in the
Sunday battle, sharpshooting, chippy and chirpy. The guy is simply an
enigma, why does someone that good have to get into all of the crap all
the time?
The game was quite
feisty and Kevin and Rockhill escalated the war of words into a good
shoving match. Kevin showed a lot restraint when Rockhill gently speared
him twice which was left uncalled for some unknown reason. Later in the
match Rockhill got to wear home his proud badge of courage (cut to the
head) when he came up to Scott L and faked a high stick which Scotty
quickly responded to with a face full of stick. It cost us a 4:00-minute
powerplay, but it didn't seem as any of us were that upset by it.
Our one
goal was a pretty nice tally though: While the “150 line” was on the
rink, Scott got the puck in the corner and got it to the point where
Gucci faked a shot and slid it to 99 in the high slot, who waited for the
screen by Dan to develop and deposited it high over the keeper. Other
than the Rockhill sillyness, it was a fast-paced game with solid
goaltending at both ends.
Finally, it
appears the old days of post-game “meetings” in the cold have seemed to disappeared
faster than Gucci's mid-section, as everyone scattered rather than
commiserating our loss.

For his subbing in net.
3) GLENN FARKAS
For excellent hustle.
