(vol. 40W, no. 9; newsletter by j.s.)
editor's note: I (Harris) was absent from this particular outing, but forward Jay Serkin was good enough to send me this email recounting this not-so-memorable experience. We present this unedited, in its gritty real-life form ...
the only thing i could say positive about the game is at least we didn't get 8 goaled (if that is even a word) again and nobody got into a fight with rockhill. maybe the real bonus was you were not in net to witness our brutal performance. not really much hockey wise to discuss about the game after that. another positive note is that our mostly dreadful regular season is over and we can make up for it in the playoffs.
on a side note, another hopeful future positive note i can think of, which seems to be a dream at the moment, is my neighbor saga. my white trash neighbor stories have become a weekly topic of discussion in the pirate locker room. we all are awaiting the day when he will eventually get evicted, you won't have to hear about my crazy neighbor any longer, and i'll have a “the trash is gone party” to celebrate the victory. i hope the day comes soon.
