SUNDAYS #10 vs. TEAM MICRO:

(vol. 1S, no. 10; newsletter by h.s.)
We had nine players in uniform for the final game and Allen (wednesday night team) was on the bench to support us too. It was scoreless until about halfway through the first when Team Micro broke the stalemate. Then, with less than a 1:00-minute remaining in the 1st period, Scooby shot one in to tie it up.

After the period break, it seemed to cycle back-and-forth with each team pressuring and then falling back to “D” to hold off the other.

No one scored in the 2nd and most of the 3rd was more of the same battle. With 2:12 left in the game — after a flurry at the Micro crease — we got a powerplay opportunity (our 3rd of the night). We didn't convert, however, and with seconds left Micro recovered the puck and came up ice (along with their player who just came of the box) and scored. The clock was reset to :03 but the season and the chance for the upset victory was over.

LOST 2-1
