With only six men in the lineup for our first playoff game (facing a team
with a full five-man bench), it looked a little grim at the dropping of
the first puck. Everyone hustled though, and we swarmed the net until we
had stockpiled a 4-0 lead at the end of the 1st period.
We added three more goals in a row during the 2nd to go up 7-0 before the
Rage recovered a stick-check from me at the point and slapped one top shelf.
We changed up our strategy a bit in the 3rd so as not to run the score up
and the Rage again capitalized with a low shot through a screen. From there
we went back to our original gameplan, but our only other goal — coming
at the :01 second remaining mark in the 3rd — was not counted on the
official score sheet (the refs said it was an offsides. Sorry Glen)
