Chippy, chippy, chippy. That would be a good description of last night's
game against one of our division's top-ranked teams. Unfortunately, we didn't
benefit from the calls which were definitely plentiful — we were on
the penalty kill four times (the Sabres had only one penalty).
Even with all the time shorthanded (including a 5-on-3 during the 1st),
the game was gridlocked at 0-0 until midway in the 2nd. That's when they
were able to tuck a scramble in the crease that was stuck underneath Dan
Pomphrey and me for the lead.
That 1-goal lead held all the way until the final 4:00 minutes when Glenn
Farkas shot one of his "impossible" angle shots from the goal-line
that bounced off John Arena and back to Glenn who bounced the rebound off
Arena's back for the tying goal. All-in-all, it was a 3-point weekend for
the Pirates.
THE
SILVER
SKULLS
1) GLENN
FARKAS
For his shot and rebound score to get us the tie.
