(vol. 9S, no. 13; newsletter by c.g.)
Suffice to say the Coastal Pirates were unsuccessful in their attempt at three-peating the Championship. We ran into a very-talented Flukes team that was able to capitalize on their chances early. We fell behind by a score of 4-0 at the end of the 1st, but played hard until the end for a 6-1 final (goal by Jimmy Ferraro with the assist to Dan DiPierro).

The team never quit, and the game actually ended with 2:30 on the clock, after several skirmishes broke out at once. Overall the Coastal Pirates enjoyed a good season. We made it to the Championship for the third straight time and lost to a stronger team.
