WEDNESDAYS #6 vs. BIG SLICK:

(vol. 39W, no. 6; newsletter b.n.)
Well it's great to be back. Back in the saddle. Back to business. Back in black ... well actually I think we were white, but you get the picture. And while we are in the back mode, It was nice to see Tony Toscano back ... not so great that he was back on the other team, but that is OK. Speaking of back, someone who wasn't back was Marty. It wasn't that he wasn't wanted back, he was just filling-in last week because #67 was out with the back issue. But now the back is back to normal, Marty is back to the practice squad.

The game started with some back-and-forth action until the Pirates built a 2-0 lead (one of which was Wildman who scored in back-to-back games with the same shot. But then the Pirates let the opponent back in to the game when they scored not one — not back-to-back — but three straight goals.

But not to be outdone, Gucci scored, showing that he was back to form after coming back from a season off. And then #67 stepped up with back-to-back assists (first to Ken and then to Scott Miller) and the Pirates were not only back in the lead, but back in control of the game. Finally with the goalie's back resting firmly against the bench, Mike fired the puck into the back of the net. And uncharacteristically Mike yelled back at Sean, “That one was for you!”
