SUNDAYS #4 vs. BULLDOGS:

(vol. 42S, no. 4; newsletter by r.n.)
editor's note: There are only 4 teams (besides us) in the Sunday Summer league and this game was against the last one we haven't played yet. Bill Barnett was back-stopping the Pirates for our .500 attempt. Cap'n Russ provides the timely recap below ...
The Pirates played a terrifically competitive match with the Bulldogs on Sunday evening in the sweltering heat of the sweaty and slimey GoodSports rink. As usual, maintenance was a priority as Freddy entered the western-most locker room ... remainder of this post's paragraph removed at the request of fellow Pirate who found it “bad karma.”

As for the game, we battled but lost. The lack of players hurt us as well as some Pirates apparently were out searching for booty.

THE
SILVER
SKULLS

1) RUSS NICOLOSI
For both goals.

2) BILL BARNETT
For subbing at the 11th hour ... and a few bounces the other way and he'd might've stolen a win for us.

3) JOE NIGRO
Another strong outing for “the new guy.”
