BIO: After signing with the Pirates, Roger soon
became one of the ironmen on the Blueline. His skating style and ability to
deflect pucks past his own goalie are the stuff of legend. In Spring 2000
Roger went on the disabled list, but he came back to lead all Pirate defensivemen
in scoring the next two seasons. He was awarded an “A” on his jersey
(alternate captain) in 2001 for his outstanding efforts and locker room presence.
