BIO: Known as “Mike the D” after his
Sunday night debut, Farrell brings his trademark red helmet and stay-at-home
defensive style to the Pirate roster. Although he hates to admit he's friends
with Pirate sniper Jimmy Ferraro and Scotty LeMatty, Farrell provides the
same caliber of physical play at the blueline as those two teammates; in other
words, you don't want to be in the crease when Mike is on the ice. In April 2007, successfully changed jersey from #21 to #23 after a lengthy S.O.C. battle (click on his image for photo and details).
